fedora upgrading

so it seems if i want to upgrade my f7 machine, i'll have to use the dvd.
that's right! the normal livecd won't do upgrades! this just doesn't make any sense to me.
no dvd burner for me, so that means that i won't be upgrading.
fedora unity has the dvd in a 3 cd set or i could try the unsupported yum live upgrade.
guess it's time to move on to something else...
