Saint Etienne

pop, in concert

Gargoyle mode here, life from the concert of St. Etienne at the Gagarin in Athens. The place is full, boiling with people who seem to know each song. Unlike me.

As usual Panos has dragged me here. But I'm not complaining, music is cool, as is the crowd.

Re: Saint Etienne

Did Panos picked you in his motorbike? Are you still alive? :P

Re: Saint Etienne

Hey graffic, no we went home by Metro (see next story). It was too windy, so even Panos took the Metro, which was a good idea anyway!

Re: Saint Etienne

To be honest, I didn 't like the gig. They played for an hour and a quarter, and the ticket of 30 euros was high. We should be more reluctant in the future.
P.S. The return home on Saturday 03:00 after the gathering at International Pizza 's was a nightmare: the gale force cross-winds and very sharp gusts on the highway were continuously making me swerve off my track, ready to throw me out. I caught the right lane and drove slowly with extreme caution at 60 km/h. I 've never felt that scary before on a motorcycle.

Yeah, price and playing time didn't match. At the time when I wrote the post I didn't know that they would stop so soon, we were into the first 4 or 5 songs IIRC (the time stamp is one hour off, it's the server time which is GMT+1, while .gr has GMT+2).

Re: Saint Etienne

It's gonna be better to go to concerts of unknown groups.

In Spain I usually enjoy more there because the famous ones (or the ones that believe they're famous), play the same as in the CD and leave (clap... clap....). The unkown instead, do a better show trying to get more people to know them.

Its a theory, of course. But I have two examples in my mind :) I'm open to get a third :D
